A fruity, hoppy, punchy Belgian 5.6% ABV IPA. A blend of Chateau Cara Blond, Chateau Cara Ruby and Pilsen malts provide a rich base. Dry hopping with Yakima Chief American hops gives the beer vibrant hop character. Fermentation on a characteristic Belgian yeast brings spice and funky phenol aromas.
The UK has a long history of making IPAs for the Belgian market, particularly in the post-WW2 1940s, when British and Belgian brewers collaborated to make a series of IPAs, the cross pollination of their ideas leading to some of the Belgian beers we know and love today, as well as influencing the English IPA scene.
Our Specials Range seeks to reinvigorate perceptions of iconic beer styles. The beers in this range will be fresh interpretations, using heritage ingredients and implementing modern techniques.
